As part of my new fitness routine that involves starting a C25K program, I have also taken up sit-ups and squats. The reason I picked these two exercises is that I have improved the strength of my arms and legs a lot with running and swimming, but my core, back and quads are still in deplorable shape. I could easily try to do short series of sit-ups and squats, but I was in no way able to go beyond 30 or 40 without feeling like my muscles were being ripped apart.

So similarly to my running training, I turned to my phone and the Play Store to find apps that would help me gradually increase my strength and improve my endurance. I was instantly drawn to Runtastic Sit-Ups Pro and Runtastic Squats Pro, not only because of the big brand name behind them, but also because of the apps’ design and features. It was an excellent choice and I’ll explain below why Runtastic’s suite should be on your phone too if you are interested in fitness.

This week rings the start of the holiday season and the shopping ordeal that comes with it. From Black Friday to Cyber Monday to the Christmas presents, everyone will be running around against the clock trying to find the best deals and gift items.

One form of media that has definitely stood the test of time is the comic book. Since 1933, when the first comic book was published, the industry has grown from strength to strength and led to blockbuster creations such as the Avengers and Batman. And the main reason people still read comics is that they provide both visual and textual gratification to the reader. Thanks to our mobile devices getting larger screens and the ubiquity of tablets, comics are no longer limited to physical books but can also be enjoyed on our Android devices.

There is now a growing number of apps that allow you to devour comics and mangas on your mobile device, and in this article I will show you my personal favorites and help you find a few other high quality ones.

We all seek the opinion of others, me especially, I’m constantly posting on forums and communicating with others on the internet. However, the disadvantage with forums is that responses are often slow. You will normally have to wait a few hours, if not days, until you get a reply for your question.

In the past few years, a different approach to forums has arisen and these come in the form of crowdsourcing apps where you can post a quick question and get even quicker responses. Of course, these are more trivial than forums, but their simplicity and immediacy attract a huge audience.

Two of the biggest apps to crack this market are Formspring and Thumb. Both are brilliant in their own right, but today on Android.Appstorm I am going to compare the two on key features to find out which is the best. Read on to find out!

Social networking exploded with Facebook and most of us flocked to it like bees to a honey pot. Having an online identity became pretty much a no-brainer and the lure of catching up with all your friends and family from across the world in one place, getting updates about their life and checking out pictures of all their important events was too much to resist. It was a great idea and we loved it, adding all our long lost friends and near and distant relatives as a consequence.

The trouble, however, started amid growing concerns over security issues that we maybe letting on our private lives to more than just friends.
