Mobile gaming, as you probably know, is super popular: people play games on mobile. Because of that, there are tons of games for Android; they even have their own section in the Play Store, completely separate from “Apps.” I have my select crop of games, as I’m sure you do. I prefer 2D side-scrollers — they are simple, somewhat mindless games that help me pass the time. However, when I came across Draw a Stickman I was pretty intrigued. It didn’t seem like your run of the mill adventure game, so I downloaded it and gave it a try. What did I think? Let’s take a look!

Let me start by saying this: I am a huge Star Wars fan. I love the movies, I love the collectibles, I love the video games. So of course when Rovio announced they were making a Star Wars themed Angry Birds game, I was all over it. I kept looking at video clips and screenshots while patiently awaiting the release date. All the toys and gadgetry in this list ship with accompanying Android apps which part the veil on a future where “there’s an app for that” will be a valid response to every question. Self-driving car dashboards, energy saving home controls, playing laser tag, and even a quick diagnosis of your allergies will be possible with one device.

The modern smartphone is barely half a decade old with an even younger app ecosystem. Projects like the Kickstarter-funded Laser Tag gun and mainstream approaches from automakers like Viper with their smartphone car remote offer a glimpse into the future of appified everything.

Age of Defenders is described as a “totally addictive multiplayer TD game where you defend your base and in the same time attack your enemies.” I would say this is a pretty accurate description. It combines the inherent addictiveness of standard tower defense games with the competition found only in multiplayer games. Let’s take a closer look!
