One of my favourite things about writing app reviews is the amount of cool new things I’m exposed to daily. It goes well beyond software, and I often learn about really cool projects simply because I’ve been exposed to unique designers and their interesting projects.
One of those exact situations happened recently with Neven Mrgan, a designer who believes in the end product and not the means (and yes, that’s how you spell his name). I like his work. As it turns out, he has released a new game on both iOS and Android called Blackbar that’s… Well, it’s unlike any game I’ve ever played. Read on to find out more about it.
I’m terrible at crosswords. I just can’t seem to handle their particular brand of guessing words from cryptic clues. But I’m great at the kind of pattern matching found in word jumbles. Which is why I was delighted to discover that 7 Little Words introduces word finding to the crossword formula — and in a sleek minimalist package, too.
I don’t know about you, but I love a really good word game. Whether I’m on public transport or just trying to wind down, an immersive and challenging word puzzle is often just the tonic for me. I can’t be the only ‘wordie’ either as there are literally hundreds of word games in the Android Market.
